[It's late at night, and Kinzo and crew obviously haven't even gotten to the Pokemon Center. Only Kinzo's Wingull, perched on his shoulder, looks fine - behind him, a Krabby and Grovyle follow. They both, though following out of duty, are looking fairly tired, as is Kinzo himself. ... Well, they were, anyway, until they realized what was a good dozen Murkrow were following them... staring.]

I've arrived in Goldenrod, finally... However, I don't believe I asked for a welcoming committee. Certainly not one of inferior riffraff like this. [Kinzo nods his head to the side towards his Wingull.] Gen here is clearly a far better breed of bird.

Hear that, you black-feathered bad omens...!? Not a single one of you shall be stopping me from returning to Violet!!

[... Surprisingly, though Kinzo meant his remark as a way to goad the birds into some kind of action, they all just continue to stare. Watching. Calculating. Memorizing.]

... Hoh. I was expecting more of a commotion. Perhaps I should be a little more more worried.

[Kinzo turns to the camera now, looking as though he cares very little about the Murkrow - however, behind him, the Krabby is pinching his claw threatening towards the unmoving Murkrow while the Grovyle simple chuckles at the crab's antics. Pukukukuku.]

This is all pointless. I have heard rumors of a shortcut that will get me to Violet City. If it is possible that someone could open this shortcut for me, or perhaps help me get there by another means, I would be extremely grateful. I need to return to my... [Kinzo pauses, raising his head for a moment. When he looks back at the screen, his gaze is much more focused.] ... family.
