second ingot ♚ video/action

[Today, Kinzo has decided to fend for himself - his Wingull, as always, perched on his shoulder. He's arrived in Cherrygrove, bought himself an Old Rod, and gone fishing - just as an manly man like himself would think to do. After all, that bento can only hold a person for so long. The problem is, he found, after obtaining the fish of his desires...]

There's something wrong with the fish here. [Kinzo's face is one of annoyance with just a bit of shock mixed in. Seriously, Johto? You're denying him a proper meal? Come on now.] You can't eat them. In fact, you can't even break through their scales. No matter what I try, it just...

[Kinzo turns the camera over to a Magikarp, flopping around on the ground next to him. He stares at it, as if wondering if all of this is truly real for the first time since his arrival. Timeline dissaray and magic and monsters are one thing, but he can't eat fish? That's just unreal. The Magikarp, meanwhile, continues to flop. Karp Karp Karp. Magikarp.]

Tell me. Should I just release this "Magikarp" back into the wild or keep it? Its level is a few higher than Gen's is right now, but Gen was still able to beat it down well enough for me to capture it with relative ease.

[The Magikarp flops around on the ground in front of him, as if hurt that her new master would even suggest releasing her. Alas, she cannot properly portray how offended she is. Look at that Magikarp flop.]

... It doesn't even appear to need water to survive. [Kinzo shakes his head, sighing.] What a strange, strange fish.

How does one even eat in this land? If all of the animals are like this, I can't imagine how you all have managed to survive for so long.

Now that is something even I have been able to observe already.

Even pets, however, can be found as edible wildlife if you travel to other countries.

Not here they aren't. You might wanna keep the fact that you tried to eat one from the Jennies.

The police officers of this world.

... Ah. I can understand why they might take offense.

Hurting Pokemon is a pretty big crime here.

And why is that? Are they deities?

They're intelligent beings.

They can understand speech, they can work the gears, they often know the difference between right and wrong...

... And just how sure are you of this?

Nearly a year? Happy Birthday.

. . .

Thanks, I guess.

Think nothing of it. I can't imagine you appreciate the sentiment, given the circumstances.

Ha... not really, no offense. Though I guess it's funny that my birthday falls right before my one-year anniversary in this place.

Good thing I don't believe in fate.

[identity profile] pastsanity.livejournal.com 2011-05-24 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Hoh. Then what do you believe in?

[text]

[personal profile] bakaitoukid 2011-05-25 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Making your own path.

And maybe just a little bit of luck.

[identity profile] pastsanity.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Luck... Truly, luck is much more reliable.

[personal profile] bakaitoukid 2011-05-26 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
More reliable than fate, heh.

[identity profile] pastsanity.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Most certainly. Whatever cruel hand fate deals you, even the luckiest can overcome it.
